“So how does the story end?” he asked

“I don’t know”

“What do you mean ‘I don’t know’, you read the book, didn't you?

“I ripped off the last page”

“Why did you do that?”

“It was all so beautiful; I didn't want it to end.”

Whimsical..yet the feeling is known...

And sometimes it would have been better not to have an ending - a book that springs to mind in this category is 'Remains of the Day' by Kazuo Ishiguro
